The end of summer and start of fall for the Southeast has been a real rough time for everyone. Typically we head up to Maggie Valley one last time for the year for the return of Showdown in the Valley in October but this year was different. The show had to push the show back a month to November to give everyone in North Carolina time to recover after the hurricane that took a toll on the area. We’ve got to give it to the crew that puts on the show for coming together with a plan to help everyone out and organized ways to bring in donations. Through it all, every one came together and brought in lots of much needed donations and raised over $11,000 to donate as well. Even though it was the weekend before Thanksgiving, it was amazing to see everyone still come out and support not only this show, but the community in itself. We can’t begin to thank everyone that came out to the show, those that donated, and of course we can’t for get Mitchell and his crew. This will always be one of our favorite shows to attend in the fall, its just a whole other vibe being in the Valley in the fall. We look forward to see what 2025 brings for the show.
Show coverage is up as always over on our Flickr, and on our Facebook as well!
